Founded in 1875, Payot Libraire opened its first branch in 1918, so demonstrating that from the outset the Payot founders had the vision of a network of bookshops in close proximity to their customers. Today, Payot is first and foremost a network of bookshops which covers most of the territory of French-speaking Switzerland.
Our branches are all different because they are adapted to the size of the town and configuration of the premises, but they are all true Payot bookshops with equivalent standards of convenience, service and expertise.
To move even closer to you, our customers, we have recently inaugurated two bookshops in cities from which Payot had hitherto been absent: Nyon in 2003 and Yverdon-les-bains in 2005. Today, we are counting on our Internet site to establish still closer ties and remain at your service round the clock, seven days a week: «www.payot.ch: everywhere, at any time».
